Clenova works entirely on your device. It does not upload, transmit, or share any file, file name, or scan result to any server — the app doesn't even request the INTERNET permission, which makes it technically impossible for any data to leave your device. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Permissions this app requests, and why

• Full storage access (All files access): needed to find and manage duplicate files across your entire device storage, not just photos/videos. Files are only ever moved to the app's own trash or to a folder you choose — nothing is permanently deleted without your confirmation.
• Notifications: used only to let you know when a scheduled or background scan finishes, if you've turned that feature on.
• Run at device startup: lets scheduled automatic scans keep running on their schedule after you restart your phone, if you've enabled that feature.

Data we collect

None. This app does not collect, store on a server, sell, or share any personal data or files with any third party. All analysis (duplicate detection, storage breakdown, etc.) happens entirely on your device.

Data deletion

All app data (scan history, settings, trashed files) is stored locally on your device only. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from your device settings, permanently removes it.

Children's privacy

Clenova is not directed at children under 13, and it does not collect data from anyone regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update date below will change and the new version will be posted at this same address.
